Gerard Hertig(Hertig, Gerard)취리히연방공과대학 법대 교수로 재직 중. 그전에는 제네바대 법대의 행정법 교수 및 유럽 사법연구센터(Centre d’etudes Juridiques Europeennes)의 소장을 역임하였다. 또한 유럽과 일본, 미국의 유수한 대학의 방문교수를 지냈고 제네바법조계의 일원으로서 법조 실무에 종사하였다. 또한 ECGI(European Corporate Governance Institute) 연구위원과 유럽민간금융위원회(European Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee)의 위원으로 재임하고 있다. 최근의 저작으로는 Optional rather than Mandatory EU Company Law (Joseph A.
