After receiving a M.A degree in Tourism at Hanyang university in 1988, he worked in the planning department at Muju resort and Suanbo resort. He has owned and run an English institute since returning to his hometown. In addition to his business he taught tourism related subjects at Daegue junior collage for 10 years. Last year, 2011, he was certified as an English tour guide, to help prepare for the publishing of this book. His hobbies include walking, hiking, and photography.

동국대학교에서 경영학사와 석사를 그리고 한양대학교 대학원에서 관광학 석사를 취득하였다. 영어로 한국을 소개하는 여행작가 일과 프리랜서 영어가이드 일을 하고 있다. 2012년에 『경주, 신라의 수도』를 출간하였다.
걷기와 하이킹과 사진 찍기를 즐긴다.
